Senator(Dr) Orji Uzor Kalu - Honourary Co-Chairman

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is a Nigerian politician, businessman, and philanthropist. Born on April 21, 1960, in Abia State, Nigeria, he rose to prominence as the founder and former chairman of Slok Holding, a conglomerate with interests in shipping, banking, oil trading, and media. 

In the political arena, Kalu served as the Governor of Abia State from 1999 to 2007 under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), making him the youngest governor in Nigeria at the time of his election. He later joined the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) and contested for the presidency in 2007.

In 2019, Kalu was elected as a Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District in the Nigerian Senate under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Throughout his career, Kalu has been known for his business acumen, political ambition, and philanthropic efforts aimed at empowering the people of Nigeria, particularly in his home state of Abia.

In addition to her contributions to the education sector, Chief Mrs. Okeke is the Executive Director of Sweet Spirit Hotel and Suites Danag, a renowned hospitality establishment in Southern Nigeria. Hon. Anthony Nwankwo Kalu is a seasoned Professional Accountant of
over two decades experience. His career trajectory spans both public and
private sectors of the economy with rich blend of expertise in financial
consulting (Taxation, Auditing, Accounting), human capital development, business
advisory and entrepreneurship.
He served in the public service of the federation in various capacities, criss-crossing the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Presidency (OSGF), Nigerian
Embassy (Romania and Republic of Bulgaria) and Federal Ministry of
Finance. He steadily climbed through the ladder to the position of Deputy
Director before disengaging from the public service to expand the horizon
of his interest into business and politics.
He holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from the prestigious University
of Lagos, Masters in Business Administration Degree from the University of
Washington, Seattle, USA and has just completed his Ph.D in Business
Administration at Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State.
He is an affiliate and licensed practitioner of the following professional

Hon. Anthony N. Kalu served in the Governing Council of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) from 2013 to 2018 as Federal
Government representative in the Council. He was Chairman of the Public
Sectors and Inter-governmental Relations Committee of the Council where
he played significant role in projecting the ANAN brand within the public and
political circle of the country.
Hon. A. N. Kalu has participated in several professional and leadership
development courses, seminars and conferences within and outside the
country. He hones his skills in some highly rated executive strategic
programs of the top notch Harvard Business School, USA. He is a
consummate researcher with interest in the realm of Innovative
Accounting. Currently, he is exploring the role of Robotic Process Automation
(RPA) in the Accounting field otherwise known as Robotic Accounting.
In business and professional practices, he is the Principal Partner of Kalu A. Nwankwo & Co., Tochian Consulting Ltd. and Managing Director of
Denakmo Ventures, Abuja.
Hon. Anthony N. Kalu is very sociable and active participant in community
services. He held several positions and still plays significant roles within
these sphere. He was the Chairman of Nzuko Ututu Community, Abuja and
Northern Region (2005 – 2010), Chairman, Fatima Gold Estate House
Owners/Residents Association (2013 – 2017) and Chairman Fund Raising
Committee of St. Joseph Catholic Church (2019 – 2023).
He is currently the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of Mezie and
Agnes Foundation, Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of
Blessed2Bless Charity Foundation and General Secretary, Forum of Past
Council Members of ANAN.
Hon. A. N. Kalu is happily married to Mrs. Felicia M. Kalu and blessed with four adorable children (Nnamdi, Obinna, Ugochukwu and Chibuike).
His hobbies include reading, gardening, walking and listening to classical
music.

Chief Stephen Kalu Nwankwo

Chief Nwankwo Stephen Kalu is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in the insurance and petroleum industries. Born on May 7th, 1962, in Amankwu Ututu, Arochukwu LGA, Abia State, Nigeria, Chief Kalu has dedicated his career to excellence and leadership.

His educational journey includes earning a Final Diploma from Ogun State University/Institute of Export of Nigeria, equivalent to a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree. Additionally, he holds an Advanced Diploma from the Institute of Export Nigeria and obtained his West African Education Certificate (WAEC 1981) from Ibeku High School Umuahia, Abia State. Chief Kalu further enhanced his skills and knowledge through Citizenship and Leadership Training, completing Course No SS 381D.

With a solid educational foundation, Chief Kalu embarked on a successful career path, beginning as an Insurance Broker at Niger Insurance Company from 1983 to 1985. He then joined the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in 1987, where he served diligently until 2022. During his tenure at NNPC, Chief Kalu held various pivotal roles, including Warehouse Supervisor, Transport Supervisor, TUMA Coordinator at NNPC Lagos Offshore, and Depot Superintendent at PPMC Sarkin Pawa Pump station.

Throughout his career, Chief Nwankwo Stephen Kalu has demonstrated a strong work ethic, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence.
